Although I am senior in college I have been lucky enough to gain some experience in the journalism world.
I have been working at The Johnstown Breeze for about 6-months as production assistant and I couldn't be happier.
I have also been gaining experience in my classes as well. This blog is an assignment for my Advanced News class. I hope that I can gain knowledge on blogging and covering a beat. I am already learning what it takes to cover a beat and how to interact with those involved in my stories
As a journalist my strengths are my ideas. But my weaknesses is translating these ideas into a newsworthy article. This blog will help me address both my strengths and weaknesses.
Although I have had a blog before, it covered governmental issues in the city of Greeley. I'm looking forward on being able to choose my stories and continue gaining blog experience.
I am excited to blog and I think it will help me grow as a journalist.
